Privacy

Last updated: August 2026

Short version: everything runs on your phone. Your questions never leave it. There's no account to make and nothing to opt out of, because there's nothing collected in the first place.

What stays on your phone

Retrieval and inference both happen locally, using a model stored on your device. Nothing about a question you ask is transmitted anywhere — not the text, not a hash of it, not usage metadata.

The only network calls RUNBOOK makes

RUNBOOK talks to the network exactly twice, by design:

Both are plain file downloads. Neither carries a query, an identifier, or anything that ties the download to you personally. Our CDN provider may keep standard access logs for security and abuse prevention, per their own policies — those logs aren't linked to a RUNBOOK account, because there is no account.

No accounts, no analytics

RUNBOOK doesn't ask for a login, an email address, or any sign-in. There's no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, and no advertising SDK in the app. We don't know how many questions you've asked, what they were about, or whether you opened the app today.

Purchases

Any future pack purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive an anonymous purchase confirmation from StoreKit to unlock content — never your name, payment details, or Apple ID.

Children's privacy

RUNBOOK collects no data from anyone, regardless of age. Because there is nothing to collect, there is nothing that requires special handling for younger users.

Changes to this policy

If a future version adds anything that changes this — optional cloud sync, for example — this page will be updated first, and the change will be called out in the App Store release notes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
