• Because that's the product working, not a failure. RUNBOOK only answers when your question matches installed pack content above a similarity threshold. Below that threshold, it returns "not in your packs" instead of guessing. An AI that admits what it doesn't know is the entire point — install a pack that covers the topic, and it'll answer.
  • Roughly 2.7 GB total: the on-device language model and embedding model account for most of that, with knowledge packs adding a small amount each. Free up space by deleting packs you don't need — you can always re-download them later.
  • iPhone 13 and newer. RUNBOOK detects your device's capability and runs accordingly — newer, more capable hardware answers faster, but the baseline is iPhone 13.
  • RUNBOOK checks for pack updates in the background over WiFi and downloads them silently. The old pack stays active until the new one is fully downloaded and verified, then it swaps in atomically — you're never left mid-update with a broken pack.
  • No. RUNBOOK surfaces reference documents — Army field manuals, U.S. Fire Administration guidance, FEMA/Ready.gov, NOAA/NWS — it is not a doctor and does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace professional medical judgment. In a real emergency, call 911 first. Use RUNBOOK for reference while you wait for help or when no signal is available at all.
